Furniture Friday #4

Happy Friday y'all.  I can't believe it's Friday already, how in the world did that happen?  Does anyone ever wish you would double the time you have in a week?  I've really got to learn how to be more efficient with my schedule.  I used to be soooo good at it before I had kids.

Last weekend I spent finishing up my dresser, and got it into the house, which was a massive undertaking because it is literally like 90" wide.  The boys couldn't get it around the corner, but lucky for me I have an old house with tall door ways so they were able to slide it in sideways.  I sat there in horror as it was going through the door way because I was so worried that after all my hard work it was going to get nicked.  This sucker was so heavy, it literally had been sitting on Elaine's back porch for 4 months because of the fear of moving it without an extra man hand. Finally when my husband came we were able to move it.   I picked up the paper during Xmas at Home Goods and knew that it had to go on my future dresser.    I can paint all day long, but the decoupaging I typically leave to Elaine, she is much more detail oriented than I am, but this time I did it myself.  Aren't you proud of me?

This is what it looked like before, minus the painted drawer, when for a split second I thought I was going to paint this dresser coral.

Here is what it looks like now.

Don't mind the fingerprints on the TV, my 3 year olds had a field day with the TV screen when they could reach it.  Haha twins, it's above your level now!! (Sorry, I had a moment out loud).

My husband wasn't exactly convinced about the boldness of this paper, but I told assured him that with everything else being more neutral in the room that a little bold wouldn't hurt, and of course he loves it.

Here is another little project I worked on this week.  We call it The Principessa (princess in Italian) dresser.

I love the pink and gray undertones

Okay, so now that I have a dresser I better go put my clothes in it.  I'm tired of living out of bins, it's been 5 months.

See you tomorrow for weekend features.

xo,
