Its Been Too Long

Hello all.  You are probably wondering why you haven’t heard from me for a while.  Although I absolutely loved what I was doing, unfortunately my furniture business journey has come to an end.  I know I’m sad too, but I’ve done all my crying and I’m moving forward.  With that being said, the reason for the end of my journey is that I moved into a new place, which unfortunately does not have a garage.  I’m also working on a couple of other things to keep me going financially.
Now as to the question, will you ever see me again?  The answer to that is an big absolutely.  1.) I have a new place to decorate and 2.) I’ve got some other stuff up my sleeve which may allow me to reenter the business in the future.
Love you all!
xoxo….

I'm Back From Vacation

I guess catching up is not as easy as I thought it would be.  I'm gone for a couple of weeks and blogger has totally changed on me.  I still don't feel caught up.  I have tons of pieces to complete and the weather has not been cooperating (we are actually getting April showers).  May 1st is the deadline I've given myself to get back into the swing of things, so please be patient with me until then.

Our trip to Kentucky was awesome.  I got to visit some friends in Northern Kentucky, it's always lovely to see faces that you dearly miss.  There was a tornado there a few months ago and fortunately not too many were affected that I new, but unfortunately some of the people they know were affected.  They took me to go see one of the areas where it hit hardest.

After visiting the Cincinnati area, we headed toward Lexington where our dear friend let us visit her horse farm.  It was gorgeous and the weather was perfect.

We visited the Lexington Cemetery and saw some really old grave sites, including a civil war monument.

We also saw many historical homes and plantations including the Waveland Museum.

and no Kentucky trip is complete without visiting the Bourban Trail.  Our stop, Woodward Reserve Distillery.

We had so much fun, and the food was great.  We had everything from Fried Green Tomatoes, to Chicken Pot Pie,

We made it to Kentucky without even hearing one Banjo playing. Lol! Must be a California stereotype.

Well, I've got a few new projects so stay tuned, we should be having some decorating fun shortly.

Happy Anniversary To Me

No, its not a blog anniversary, that is coming in a few months.  It's my wedding anniversary.
5 years ago David and I were married on the beach in Santa Barbara, California.
It was a simple event, I wore a dress I got at Ross for $12 bucks (Yes, I've always been a frugalista)
It was the most beautiful day, the weather was perfect.

7 months later we found out we were expecting

In May of 2008 we welcomed the twins.

It has been a crazy 5 years, but its been fun, challenging, and exciting.
Last month David and I had the opportunity of visiting the site where we were married, it was an incredibly refreshing and I left feeling ready for the next 5 years.

So off to enjoy our special day.  Have a great weekend!!

Our Day At the Rose Bowl Flea Market

Well, yesterday was our first time we ever sold at a flea market.  We wanted to do it so we could see what all the buzz was about.  Our day started bright and early at 5am.  First came coffee than we headed out.  We arrived about 6.  We had a 14" Uhaul to unload.  Although anticipating that it could rain the day actually turned out quite gorgeous.

Here are some shots of our space.

All in all it was a fun, but exhausting day.  Will we do it again?  I don't know, guess we will just have to wait and see.
